I am running the miner on my computer (I can send specs if necessary) and after I click the start mining button my maximum hash rate gradually increases until it gets to 10000 hp/s. I finally noticed the settings button that allows me to increase the the Hash Rate Acceleration (at 3 by default). I increased this to 6, but nothing changed. I am fairly confident that my computer can do more, as there is no strain on the computer performance whatsoever but I can’t get the hash rate to go above 10k. Any ideas why or is there just an absolute maximum?

they just updated. The other day I noticed my max had went above 29k (usually around 4k consistent, 8k max) Then they pushed some update that drastically increased the hash rates. I BELIEVE that the 10k is their set throttle, as it doesn’t benefit the miner to get more than one hash every 30 seconds or so. An admin can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe if we were all hashing at too high of a rate, it would take away from others mining and earning.

Hi that’s what happened. We rolled out this update yesterday: https://jsecoin.com/new-hashing-system-going-live-tomorrow/

The hash rates shot up because there is less data being used in the algorithm. This meant we were getting too many hash submissions to the server which was causing load problems and lagging. So we put a 10k limit on to stop multiple hashes getting submitted every seconds. There is no benefits to earnings for submitting more than one hash per block (30 seconds)
