    Hello,

I hope everything is going well at the backend. While browsing through the forum and digging deeper into JSECoin I came across multiple issues which can be worked upon easily by the team member for a better impression over users & investors. Having seen the internet evolve, making & breaking websites for almost a decade now, I would like to highlight some of the aspects which can be worked upon easily.

    1. Keep all the links functioning & upto date! – The Internet is about links! Broken and non-functional links are the most frustrating thing especially while a person is looking for more info. Simply providing the URL in plain text does no good. Users are unwilling to copy & paste the URL to go to the desired page. They will simply move on to the next website. This applies to both website & any file uploaded on the website. Came across a PDF file uploaded on the website have the urls but they cannot be clicked. 2. Branding & publicity seems to be missing & lacking even with the launch of ICO. Since the concept revolves around browser mining it will be best to target webmasters first. The best part to do so is through guest posting (both free & paid) & press release. Only 1 press release was easily available at the time of posting this suggestion.
    3. Why not let the industry experts do the talking about JSECoin? They are the influencers and thousands of individual users are ready to take action based on their advice.
    4. Try to get listed in Google News approved websites. Say in light to get investors & show them seriousness about the project.
    5. Publish infographics as they are proven to have high user engagement & gets shared fastest! Similar is the case with short video clips. Create short, to the point & factual videos which gets shared.
    6. Getting whitelisted is something which is already being worked upon. Keep up the good work!
    7. Frequently update the blog section on your website with news from crypto world, it will provide SEO advantage also!
    8. While running ads, keep an eye on retargeting ads. Webmasters are quick to abandon a website and loses focus easily while searching for something new. Retergetting will help them bring back. Webmasters are the ultimate users wwhich will provide the much needed fuel & get you noticed over internet.

Will add more points to this thread as and when something worth adding comes to my mind. Your feedback on these points will be apperitiated 🙂

    Regards

    Hi,

I suggest the possibility of encouraging existing jsecoin users to be rewarded a percentage of jsecoin by affiliate for an ICO sale made.

There is an army of users, some could be enticed into promoting extra ICO content if they gained for the sales made.
Like a normal sales affiliate system.

    Thanks, all the best.

    Hi Dan,
We do offer 1% commission but only on large transactions that require whitelisting. Because it’s a manual process we couldn’t do it for every 0.1 ETH that comes in. Potentially this is automatable in theory but would take quite a bit of development work as we’d need to integrate with the ERC20 contract using web3. The standard referrals CPA system seems to work and keeps it simple with less to go wrong.

Shubham I’ll respond to each point individually.

Yes this is bad I’ll get it updated.

    2. Branding & publicity seems to be missing & lacking even with the launch of ICO. Since the concept revolves around browser mining it will be best to target webmasters first. We are really focusing marketing on crypto investors and users who have participated in an ICO before during the next few months. The ICO investment process is reasonably complex so it’s a much lower barrier to entry for users who have done it before and this tends to work well. I think post-ICO we will switch to attracting webmasters/ecommerce merchants etc to promote general growth.

    3. Why not let the industry experts do the talking about JSECoin? They are the influencers and thousands of individual users are ready to take action based on their advice.

A lot of the influencers we’ve contacted request huge amounts of tokens & ETH to send out social media messages or act as ICO advisor. This is akin to taking bribes to talk about a project and we don’t want to be involved in it. If you know of anyone who acts with integrity and is respected within the community then let us know and we will reach out to them.

    4. Try to get listed in Google News approved websites. Say in light to get investors & show them seriousness about the project.

Yep more PR is required, we have some articles going live, hopefully on CryptoVest an CCN.

    5. Publish infographics as they are proven to have high user engagement & gets shared fastest! Similar is the case with short video clips. Create short, to the point & factual videos which gets shared.

Agreed we could do more with infographics in blog posts etc. We did the AMA sessions on our youtube channel is this the kind of thing or do you think it should be more general info not related to our project?

    6. Getting whitelisted is something which is already being worked upon. Keep up the good work!

    Thanks

    7. Frequently update the blog section on your website with news from crypto world, it will provide SEO advantage also!

Yes this is slightly tricky because we want to keep the blog focused around the project rather than commenting on general crypto news. Although it’s something we could certainly add in to the mix.

    8. While running ads, keep an eye on retargeting ads. Webmasters are quick to abandon a website and loses focus easily while searching for something new. Retergetting will help them bring back. Webmasters are the ultimate users wwhich will provide the much needed fuel & get you noticed over internet.

Yep great advice. We run retargeting on Facebook, Google Ads and Sitescout currently.

Thank you for taking the time to help with the project 👍

    Hello Dan & James,

Thank you for adding your suggestions and responses.
@james – I understand the increased work pressure, responsibilities & technicalities involved once the things are moving. Your point and concern about influencers charging heavily is correct but (not to blame) isn’t that a very well known fact in the industry? No one (in most of the cases) starts a website or business to work for free or small margins. The charges increase as they gain trust & users which do come across as roadblock & bottleneck for new startups like this one.

I do not have personal contacts with the big influencers but what I can suggest is to look for medium ones too! It will certainly take more time & efforts but here we need to trade the efforts with money since the latter is not flooding freely. Small & medium webmasters are more willing to help & feel privileged when being approached. They will be quick to explore the platform in more depth & work on bringing referrals too as they themselves want to climb the ladder.

Coming to infographics, some simpler ones which cover about cryptocurrency and especially how JSECoin is different than hidden monero miners can be of great help. It will help in gaining confidence from the users instead of webmasters. At end of the day, only webmasters cannot be given all the share and responsibilities to get the maximum opt-ins from users and they too fear of losing the loyal users. Such visual content will definitely be shared by webmasters too and you can start with sharing in the FB groups too! Being available at major groups yourself is much more helpful and users are glad to interact with the founders directly.

I will be willing to discuss more about it and can be reached out on email filled in the particulars 🙂

P.S. – Responding yourself/ from your official ID is certainly great but the need to have more moderators/ team members replying on the forum. Lack of more members reflects that all the work is being done by 1 or a few people alone. This does not come across as team work. You will be having much important things to do than responding to each query yourself (this is indeed great but should gradually be stopped as you take more important things in your hand). You can certainly occassionally reply to queries which you feel were not satisfactorily answered by other or as a addon to existing info provided by other member.
