This is now implemented. Thanks again for the suggestion.
Yep exactly that. You will see it come up in the referrals page under reference.
Hi Darko from what we have seen so far there is no real advantage to having insanely high hash rates in terms of earnings. Probably it could be pushed if we wanted to eek out every bit of performance but that isn’t really the idea. On a side note one of the devs is putting together a chromium standalone app to see how that performs in comparison as it might be easier to run in the background without the out of focus tab getting starved of CPU, we will see it’s still untested.
1. Not sure I understand, it’s not successful you mean? We haven’t been featured on CNN yet but the platform is doing really well.
2. Nope already accrued referral will stay as it is.
3. You keep the reward for referrals
4. We can’t give out users email addresses unfortunately but you can ask for them on your own site and then pass it through on the end of the link if you want to track.
Something like this:
<input type="email" id="jseEmail"> <button onclick="window.location='https://jsecoin.com/platform/?lander=1&utm_source=referral&utm_campaign=aff1&utm_content='+document.getElementById('jseEmail').value;">Register</button>
5. Yes we are looking for webmasters, investors and cryptocurrency traders.
Hi R squared I think this was probably to do with the update when the site was down for an hour or so. We did send out a newsletter beforehand but some people didn’t get it because it got spam filtered apparently. If you still can’t log in can you send us your email address and we can look into why. Sorry for the confusion.
Hi guys so part of the problem with getting logged out is when we update the server. This happened a lot on the 11th September when we rolled out the update. Now it shouldn’t be happening anywhere near that. We did one update this morning about 8am gmt and have no more planned for the day.
Let me know if it’s still happening as I’ve heard a few people mention it but can’t seem to recreate the problem locally if it is something other than the server resets.
Hey guys so part of the update was putting some measures in place to stop people running on multiple devices and multiple accounts. You can still do this i.e. if two people are working together in the same office but there just wont be any benefit as the potential coin reward will be split in half. It’s not an ideal solution but we had to bring this in as some users were taking advantage of the system and we don’t want to go down the server farm mining route.
That’s some great feedback thank you Peter
Yes of course, sorry about that. Mine is here https://www.linkedin.com/in/james-bachini-7512034b/
We will get the links updated today.
Hi Jumbuck that’s a very good point. We have to balance telling them what is going on with not sending a negative implication. Because noone else is doing this yet I think it’s going to be all new and intimidating for some users anyway. I don’t particularly like the “website monetized by cryptocurrency mining” phrase, it doesn’t sound like there’s any positives in that. I think we do need to get more in the message than just saying we are creating money or funding the website though. Perhaps something like “Starting Cryptocurrency Mining – Thank you for helping secure the JSE blockchain” or “Commencing Cryptography Operations – Thanks for securing the blockchain”
Space is at a premium too so would have to shorten these. Don’t know. I’ll put it to the team and see what we can come up with. If anyone has any ideas leave them here.
Hi Steve I know we talked about this on the discord channel but I wanted to post it here to in case anyone else is wondering the same thing:
So one of our publishers wanted to reward his users with JSE, you can export JSE to a coin code give it to the user and they can add it to their account. Makes it a bit easier than transferring if they haven’t setup an account yet or something.
Bare in mind the person that exports the coincode can still access it until it is used.
The servers still aren’t coping well so we are going to move the update forwards to 9am GMT 4am CST
Yep we had an issue with the CPU this time. 6500 concurrent connections proving too much to handle. We are learning fast but not fast enough. Tomorrow we will be rolling out the update so the servers will be down around 1pm GMT. We should be able to separate the publisher demand from the platform then which will be a big help, or at least we can break multiple machines at the same time.
Yeah the user base has been growing like crazy the last week. This was kind of inevitable although there is some stuff we are doing to improve on the current situation. Currently there’s a few users that have been mining with multiple devices, accounts etc. These will be stopped. There was also one publisher who had loads of hashes and very few unique visitors which was a bit strange. The difficulty will be moved up for publisher mining next week. This should mean that more emphasis goes back to unique visitors as less hashes will be found. Generally though it’s going to get harder and harder to mine coins at any volume. This wouldn’t be so bad if the price of the currency was going up but that isn’t going to happen for a while yet. So it’s a case of the early adopters done well, it will get harder as more people sign up and want their share, the coin distribution is fixed at around 2k a day so there is less to go around.
On a positive note the more users that do sign up the better it is for all of us as it increases the traction of the product and will catch investors attention when we do ICO and list on the exchanges = more demand = higher price for JSE.
The new version of the platform that is getting rolled out on Sunday (I think) will have an adjustable hash rate acceleration slider, it’s quite fun to play with.
